I had another weak moment.....
This afternoon while walking into Walmart we came upon this basket of Maltese puppies for sale. The girls just wanted to "LOOK" at them. They were selling like hotcakes. We picked up this little female and our hearts just melted. It took me about 10 seconds to say "OK we will take her". Even though we already have 2 dogs at home "Roxie" just fits in already. Thank Goodness we have a big backyard! The girls are having a hoot dressing her up in doll clothes and trying to decide on a name. The people who owned her before named her "Twinkie". Our girls dubbed her Roxie because she is going to marry Rocky, our other dog, (or so they say) and have lots of puppies. Kids are so funny. I think it would be fun to have a batch of puppies someday and let the kids experience birth and taking care of them. We will see how the next 6 months go. Rocky is not very photogenic. I had to laugh when I saw this picture of him. He looks a little psycho...He is doing alot better...If we could just get his humping under control.ha ha.... I bought him this little caterpillar doggie toy the other day and boy is he ever in love with that toy.Every single time I look out the back window he is going to town on it. He is a funny little dog. Chewy on the other hand is a definite keeper. We will never give him up. He is just part of the fam. He lives inside with us. Rocky plays outside in the back yard all day and sleeps in a crate in the garage at night. When he gets his humping under control I might dare let him stay inside. Roxie is living in our BIG Christmas tree box until she figures out the potty training thing. I am so mean...I just don't like the idea of dog poop and peep all over my carpets.
How often do you get a chance like this?
Jenna was just a little excited!
My sister Suzie called me last Saturday evening and said a friend of ours was going to be giving free helicopter rides the next morning out to the Colorado City airport and wondered if our family wanted to come. I told her I would think about it and call her back in a minute because I had to teach a lesson in church the next day. Well I hummed and hawed about it for an hour or so trying to figure out how to make everything work..Then Kim said, "Liz how often do you get the chance to ride in an 8 million dollar helicopter for free??" SO, I called her back and said yes. I am sure glad I did! We were out to the airport by 8:30 AM the next morning. It was incredible to fly over Zions and El capitan. The helicopter seats 6 people....kinda like a little mini-van in the sky. I didn't once feel scared or nervous. It was a smooth ride and the view of Zions from a helicopter was awesome! The second picture is of the entrance to the tunnel in Zions. The third pic is flying over the top of Angels Landing. We flew right above it and we could see people on top waving at us. That is quite the hike to get on top of there..scared me just a little! The fourth pic is a birds eye view of Colorado City. AND the fifth pic of course is of my Family. Good times! Around 10:30am we hurried back to Hurricane and made it in time to go to church. Schewwww. Jeremy, the one who owns the helicopter, is a family friend who lives in St George. He has a heart of gold and will take anyone who wants a ride, for a ride, anytime. All you have to do is call him. WOW, How would it be to have that kind of money, huh? I would LOVE to have enough money to be comfortable with no stress of bills, etc yet still be able to help people who are really poor. That would be complete happiness to me. Today while in St George, the girls and I saw a homeless man sitting outside of Walmart. It was the saddest sight, with all the hustle and bustle of the season to see this lonely, frail old man laying out on the cold sidewalk. It just broke my heart. I borrowed a $20.00 bill from Holli since I was broke and handed it to him. He was so grateful and just acted like it made his day! His eyes welled up with tears. Afterwards the girls said, "Mom would if he just goes and buys drugs or alcohol with that money?" I said, "Well, Heavenly Father knows the intent of every ones heart. All we can do is treat others how we would want to be treated. Everyone has free agency to do as they please but I am sure the good intentions we do in this life will not go un noticed in the hereafter." I hope my girls grow up to be giving, loving adults who treat others kindly..no matter what! I also told them that we don't know what that man has been through in his life. We are not his judge. All we can do is be a friend and if we can help him then do it! That feeling you get when you know you have made a difference to someone is so cool. So my point is....ramble ramble...hah ha IF I had millions and millions of dollars like Jeremy It would be extremely rewarding to help people in need.

Christmas Dance
Lindsay, Alley and Jenna had their "mini" Christmas dance performance last night. Even though it was only 45 minutes long, they did a great performance. After Miss Tricia, their old ballet teacher, moved to Wyoming, they all wanted to continue with dance so I decided to give Miss Anna a try. She teaches ballet, Jazz & hip hop at the Hurricane Intermediate school on Wednesday evenings. It's not that expensive and has really been alot of fun for the girls. I think it is so important to get your kids involved. Not only for them to develop talents but also social skills. This spring they will be doing a big performance of Peter Pan...should be relly cute> I just started all four girls in piano lessons so we may end the dance lessons for now. We will see how the money tree does in the next few months:)
I'm going to miss this class!
For the past 4 months I have been attending a CNA class every Tuesday and Thursday evening in St George. Tonight was my last official class. I will always cherish the memories and friendships I made while there. I am sure going to miss these guys! It has been such a hoot! We laughed and cried together...stressed out about research papers, saw each other at our best and worst. One night after class a few of us students went out to Dinner with our teacher "Sam". That's not really her name but that's what we call her...long story. Any hew, Allison, Kate, Brooke Sam, her sister and myself decided we needed to celebrate since our oral presentations were all done, FINALLY! After eating we sat around gabbing about life. At one point our teacher was laughing so hard she peed her pants. I havn't laughed that hard EVER. It was way therapeutic...I will just remember to not sit at THAT table whenever I go to Denny's. HEE HEE I take my class final tomorrow at the testing center. Then, on Tuesday meet with my teacher to get my voucher to send off to SLC for my state finals. Our class is having a potluck Tuesday night as well and we should be practicing for our skills evaluation for the state. Fun Fun. Now I just have to land a job at the hospital...that is IF i pass the state finals. Wish me luck:)

We Love You Will!
This morning I was busy cleaning and doing bills when I noticed Will was a little quiet in the other room. When I went to check on him I found him under the Christmas tree lying down looking at the lights. I just thought it was the cutest thing ever so I had to snap a picture. He has been such a joy to our family. Our girls would do anything to stay home from school so they can play with him. I am so thankful that I agreed to babysit him. In the morning when all our kids are at school he keeps me company. He is such a sweet little boy. It's hard not to grow attached to him. Today he wasn't feeling very well. I took him with me to Lins to buy a few things. He layed down in the basket and said, "Liz, I not feeling so good." My eyes teared up when he said this. I dont know if growing old makes ya all emotional or what it is but man I sure tap into his sweet little spirit!
